Cookies are small text files placed by websites you visit. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device without sending it with every request. Wildlife Universe keeps its own footprint deliberately small.
2. What we store
Local storage keys (set by this site)
- wu-theme — your light/dark mode preference.
- wu_saved — articles you bookmark with the Save button.
- wu-recent — your last few search queries (for the search panel).
- wu_user_token — a random anonymous identifier so your reactions are counted once per device. It contains no personal information.
Platform cookies
Google Blogger, which hosts this site, may set cookies required to serve pages, prevent abuse and measure aggregate usage (for example on *.blogspot.com and google.com domains). If you sign in to a Google account to use Blogger features, Google’s own cookie policies apply.
3. What we do not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies set by us.
- No sale of data derived from cookies.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Clearing site data will reset your theme preference, saved posts and reaction history on that device.
